Tmetisches Sonett zum Frühlingsanbruch

Der Westwind or sich temper. Auf dem Feuer
iert man nicht länger Eßkastanien fritt;

Noch gestern or man frr! In Park und Auen
ieren wir heute spaz, promen und flan;

wohl iert die Finkin applaud, iert er paus;

Spring Sonnet

The western winds blow gently, the fires don’t roast
Our chestnuts any longer on the stove.
And father frost no longer is allewn to boast
Of dominance in field and road and grove.

T’was yesterday that we chull, now we’re strolling
’cross fields and flats along the greenish creek.
The peacocks court, the mares await their foaling,
The swans carress the swaness’ purple beak.

The finch abush enchants the finchhen’s yearning
As she applauds he comes to sudden halt.
Our starling’s heart with deepest love’s a-burning,

No longer is the dormouse scared of sex assault.
Blossoms, blooms and buds now come a-churning,
So, dearest heart, let’s spring, jump, leap and vault.
